Wanted to back this up with screenshots from Oct. 2024, when it was announced that Good Omens s3 would be cut down to a 90-minute film and NG would not be involved. Rhianna Pratchett & Rob Wilkins’ twitter activity hinted that Amazon wanted to cancel the show outright, and they fought that decision

But Good Omens, to me, is more than just a piece of fiction created by one man. This story, after all, has always been bigger than him. It is Terry's story too. It was Terry’s wish to see it adapted on screen, and in the process of carrying out that wish, Good Omens also became the story of every person involved in bringing it to life. Since it first entered the world and taken on new life in screen, radio, stage, and comic formats, it has in addition come to belong to all of us who engage with it as a fan. Once a story is shared, it takes on a life of its own. Whatever else he might be, Gaiman has always been a proponent of "death of the author," and encouraged fans to make their own interpretations. Let's show him we are more than up to the task, out of spite if nothing else. And remember: we couldn't have known. Take care of yourself as you process this. Keep listening, learning, and talking in ways that feel safe for you. Loving something so much, even a story, means taking a risk with your heart. I have loved, still love, and will continue to love Good Omens fiercely. To our world—the world WE have created for ourselves. 🖤🤍 I will be back with you real soon.

I posted this on my Patreon back in August 2024, about a month after the Neil Gaiman allegations first broke. Figured I might as well share it here now, in the wake of Lila Shapiro’s article bringing the victims’ stories to wider audiences.
I have been quiet since the news broke about Neil Gaiman. In that time I have been listening and processing in private. It goes without saying that I am heartsick, horrified, and angry. My heart goes out to the victims—those who took the risk in speaking up and those who we may not ever be able to hear from. I hope they can find the healing and peace they deserve. How does one square compassion for victims with love for a story made by the person who hurt them? What does it mean to continue to be involved with that story in this context? I think we as fans need to give ourselves grace in deciding what this means for our personal relationship to Good Omens, and what it means for us as individuals who are active in this community. Only you can decide what boundaries to put up for yourself when it comes to engagement with fandom and its source material. This is not the kind of thing anyone can easily drop and walk away from, and I do not think it is fair for anyone to demand that. Anyone who pressures you to abandon the story does not understand what it means to be in a fan community, and how a transformative space like this grows beyond the creator to become a beautiful, weird, terrifying beast of its own. I love the space we've carved out for ourselves. I love the incredible, funny, daring, bright friends I've made through Good Omens. I love the fire this story lit in me, how it pushed me to create art again and gave me courage to seek new relationships. I love the way this community has taught me more about myself. My time in this fandom getting to know you all has been incredibly meaningful for me. It will continue to have deep meaning for me. I will go on creating fanworks for Good Omens and loving the fanworks made by talented creators in this space. I will go on spreading our shared love for the story and its characters. Our community means too much to me to give up because of one man's terrible actions. I am disgusted with him. I am angry on behalf of those he hurt and disappointed that he shattered the faith we all placed in him. I am reminded again of that strange truth that people capable of creating beautiful, moving art are also capable of doing terrible things that stand in contradiction to that art. It’s a paradox that those of us who love art are forced to confront time and time again.
