🌳Have you spotted any strange-looking bulbous blotches in oak trees recently? These are #leafgalls, a growth on a plant that is made of plant tissue but caused by (and controlled by!) another organism, such as insects.

🍂Now is the the perfect time to spot them like the Oak Spangle Gall! Seen any?

Earlier this month, our team spotted Marsh Arrowgrass (Triglochin palustris) during a #LocalWildlifeSite survey near Crawley. While not particularly rare, this species can be tricky to identify until it flowers or fruits — making this a lovely find!

🌿 Our final Noticing Nature event at Boundary Brook was a beautiful day! 🐞🦋

We spotted wildflowers, insects like ladybirds and hoverflies, butterflies including Large White and Gatekeeper, and even a young Fox! 🦊
