I read it in High School and then at 22 started to read it once a year, until I realized I would be super depressed after that for several weeks… I saw echoes of it in the world I lived in. It absolutely should be mandatory reading. It seems too many of my peers did not take lessons from it.

Exactly. It’s the made up pretense of them being violent criminals, when we clearly know, they’re just a targeted population.

We need to get our check balance systems working. These people are doing intolerable things.

My father once ask his doctor about barbecue because he had read concerns that grilled food has carcinogens in it. His doctor said have your barbecue, you’re gonna die from 100 other things before you die from barbecue. :)

Because rather than address root cause issues and provide support they want to sweep them out of sight by moving them out of their camps.

This has been the case in my city, Pittsburgh, and many others across the United States. They’ve fenced off the undersides of bridges, which they had previously used for shelter and if it weren’t for some watchdog groups, their tents and possessions get destroyed
