Hanrahan was most remembered for a quote he made during the Falklands Conflict. "I'm not allowed to say how many planes joined the raid, but I counted them all out, and I counted them all back."

Come Rain Come Shine is a feature length one-off drama broadcast on ITV on 20 December 2010. Retired docker Don and his wife Dora live within their means. Their daughter Joanne struggles to make ends meet but their property developer son David has a very high life style financed by credit which soon crashes and burns. His wife takes a supermarket job and his son sells his computer games as they move in with Don and Dora. David persuades his father to mortgage his home for a supposedly sound investment. It is no such thing and Don loses the lot. Aware that his son is selfish and an adulterer, Don ends up in hospital after a coronary. Can the family pull together and teach David humility in order to restore trust? The cast includes David Jason, Alison Steadman, Shaun Evans, Anna Wilson Jones, Kellie Bright, Drew Blackall, Sally Oliver, Kate Miles, Freddie Annobil-Dodoo, Christine Ellerbeck, Brian Croucher, Simon Dutton, Celia Henbury, Jon Foster, Mark Longhurst and Miles Richardson. The Sound of Music Live was a television special that was broadcast by ITV on 20 December 2015. The special was an adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein's 1959 Broadway musical The Sound of Music. Its target audience was males in their 20s to early 40s. It broadcast a variety of both archive programming and original productions. The channel closed on 1 January 2011.

Basil's television credits include Crown Court, When The Boat Comes In, Sexton Blake, Honey Lane, Emergency-Ward 10, Front Page Story, The Great War, Our Mutual Friend, The Nightmare Years, Bulman, Fawlty Towers, Just William, Raffles, Justice, Bill Brand and Village Hall. Jimmy Hill was born on 22 July 1928 and passed away on 19 December 2015 at the age of 87. He was a footballer and later a television executive and personality. His career included almost every role in the sport, including player, trade union leader, coach, manager, director, chairman, pundit, analyst and assistant referee. Jimmy was part of the board that established London Weekend Television when they succeeded ATV London in 1968. He also was part of their hosting team for The Big Match and ITV Sports coverage of major football tournaments. He left LWT for the BBC to host Match of the Day. Rosalind Knight was born on 3 December 1933 and passed away on 19 December 2020 at the age of 87. She was an actress whose career spanned 70 years on stage, screen, and television. Her television appearances include Gimme Gimme Gimme, The Crown, Holby City, Hunderby, Sherlock, Midsomer Murders, Doctors, The Shell Seekers, Marple, Casualty, Heartbeat, Berkeley Square, Dixon of Dock Green, Within These Walls and Friday Night Dinner. Murphy's Mob is a children's drama series that was broadcast on ITV from 1 March 1982 to 19 December 1985. 4 series totalling 54 episodes were made. The series featured Ken Hutchison as Mac Murphy, who takes charge as manager of a struggling fictional Fourth Division football club, Dunmore United, and a group of young supporters of the club whose day-to-day troubles included attempts to set up a junior supporter's club and clubhouse within the stadium. Text Santa was launched on ITV on 11 December 2011. The final appeal night was on 18 December 2015 with an update on 25 December 2015. The 5 appeals raised £32 million for 24 charities. Hosts included Holly Willoughby, Ant McPartlin, Declan Donnelly, Caroline Flack, Olly Murs, Paddy McGuinness, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, Stephen Mulhern, Christine Lampard and Michelle Visage. An ITV Studios production. Wallis & Edward is a feature length television film broadcast on ITV on 18 December 2005. The film dramatised the events of the Edward VIII abdication crisis. It was billed as the first scripted account of the romance between Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII to view events from Wallis Simpson's point of view. The cast includes Joely Richardson, Steven Campbell Moore, David Westhead, Richard Johnson, Clifford Rose, Margaret Tyzack, Bill Champion, Monica Dolan, David Calder, Miriam Margolyes, Julian Wadham, Lisa Kay, Helena Michell, Simon Hepworth, Debora Weston and Mykolas Dorofejus. Till Death Us Do Part started in 1965 as a pilot on Comedy Playhouse. It became a series in 1966 and ran until 1975. 7 series totalling 54 episodes were made. Trisha Goddard began broadcasting her Channel Five chat show on 24 January 2005. The show ended on 17 December 2010. Russell Howard's Good News began broadcasting on BBC Three on 22 October 2009. Barney Is My Darling is a television sitcom that aired from 17 December 1965 to 21 January 1966 on BBC1. Barney and Ramona Pank have spent so much of their marriage apart while he was at sea, they suddenly find themselves back together and total strangers. The cast included Bill Fraser, Irene Handl, Angela Crow and Pat Coombs. All six episodes are believed to be lost. The Naked Civil Servant is a feature length biographical comedy-drama film broadcast on ITV on 17 December 1975. It was adapted by Philip Mackie from Quentin Crisp's book. The film begins in the late 1920s, where a teenaged Quentin lives at home with his grumpy middle-class father and adoring mother. He is becoming aware of his sexual orientation and realises that he is not sexually attracted to women. His parents seek medical advice to discover what is wrong with him and finally end up sending him to art college to force him into society. The cast includes John Hurt, Liz Gebhardt, Patricia Hodge, Stanley Lebor, Katherine Schofield, Colin Higgins, John Rhys-Davies, Lloyd Lamble, Joan Ryan, Shane Briant, Roger Lloyd-Pack, Adrian Shergold and Ron Pember. A Thames Television production. Secombe with Music was first broadcast on 17 December 1980 on ITV. Harry Secombe with guests in a one hour show. A Yorkshire Television production.

The cast included George Benson, Nicholas Parsons, Joan Sims, Nicolette Roeg, Denis Martin, Pamela Harrington, Malcolm Goddard, Ian Carmichael, Hugh Paddick, Jimmy Thompson and Van Philips and his Orchestra. Court Martial is a 26 part crime drama series that was broadcast in the UK on ITV from 16 December 1965 to 2 September 1966. Set during World War II, the series details the investigations of a Judge Advocate General's office. The cast includes Peter Graves, Bradford Dillman, Kenneth J Warren and Diane Clare. Peep Show is a sitcom that was broadcast on Channel 4 from 19 September 2003 to 16 December 2015. 9 series totalling 54 episodes were made. Peep Show follows the lives of Mark Corrigan and Jeremy "Jez" Usbourne. They're dysfunctional best friends who share a flat in Croydon, South London. Mark is a pessimistic, socially awkward loan manager who dreams of being an intellectual, while Jeremy is a perpetually unemployed layabout who lives in Mark's spare room and who dreams of becoming a famous musician. The show uses point of view shots (giving the programme its title) with the thoughts of main characters Mark and Jeremy audible as voiceovers. The cast includes David Mitchell, Robert Webb, Matt King, Olivia Colman, Elizabeth Marmur, Neil Fitzmaurice, Paterson Joseph, Rachel Blanchard, Sophie Winkleman, Jim Howick, Isy Suttie and Vera Filatova. Objective Productions for Channel 4. Rumpole of the Bailey was broadcast on BBC 1 on 16 December 1975 as part of Play for Today. The original outing for top barrister, Horace Rumpole. He defends a case of assault, touching on themes of race, police corruption, literacy and his own powers of persuasion. The cast includes Leo McKern, Joyce Heron, Noel Williams and Herbert Norville. The BBC chose not to give it a series, so the writer took it to ITV franchise Thames. They commissioned it. It ran for 7 series totalling 43 episodes from 3 April 1978 to 3 December 1992.

Kathy Secker was born on 18 February 1945 and passed away on 15 December 2015 at the age of 70. She was a continuity announcer at Tyne Tees television. During her early career at Tyne Tees, she was usually credited as Cathy Secker. Secker was the face of Northern Gas and North East Co-op stores adverts before she was offered a role as a continuity announcer and newsreader for Tyne Tees in 1976. She left in 1984, before returning in 1990. Kathy also presented the daily features Lookaround and The Birthday Spot. When continuity ended in 1996, she presented breakfast news bulletins and the magazine show Tonight, alongside her own series, Kathy and Co. Secker also contributed features for the nightly news programme North East Tonight before leaving Tyne Tees in 1998. She was a presenter on BBC Radio Newcastle up until the month before she passed away. Trevor Adams was born on 19 May 1946 and passed away on 15 December 2000 at the age of 54. He is an actor. Ruthless and ambitious northern anti-hero Joe Lampton, rises to the top as a fancy-pants city stockbroker, all thanks to his brilliant move of marrying his former boss’s daughter, Susan. Joe is a force to be reckoned with in the world of business, fighting tooth and nail to maintain his luxurious lifestyle, but soon discovers that success comes with its own set of temptations. Joe will stop at nothing to get what he wants, whether it’s a promotion, a new car or the heart of a beautiful woman. But as the saying goes, “be careful what you wish for,” because Joe’s climb to the top may just lead to a fall from grace. A Wall to Wall production for BBC. Chef vs Corner Shop is a 5 part reality series broadcast on Channel 4 from 14 to 18 December 2020. Chizzy Akudolu presents an unconventional culinary challenge. A resident chef takes on a series of challengers in the form of well-known chefs. They cook a two-course menu for just £10, using ingredients sourced from a corner shop. The resident chef for the series was Dean Edwards. A Mentorn Scotland production for Channel 4.
