The last 🍊💩👑shutdown in 2018-19 was ended because air traffic controllers called in sick. They are starting earlier this time, so the shutdown could end more quickly. I guess when you play stupid games--like raising with the cost of health care for MILLIONS of Americans--you get stupid prizes.

Today, all of you helped shift the narrative. You can see it clearly in the wave of MAGA comments trying to drown us out, they’re rattled. Small towns across the Heartland drawing record-breaking crowds? That’s not something we’ve seen before.

Grants Pass, Oregon yesterday. . .my best guess was 300-500 people protesting. Counter protesters on the ground? Maybe a dozen or so. . .

This is a very red area of the state, so this was impressive AND hopeful!

There is no substantive difference between a government shutdown and what Republicans are already doing and intend to do in the future.

The only thing that’s changed is that the GOP can now claim to have bipartisan assent for their wave of mutilation.

It is perhaps the ultimate demonstration of Trump’s ignorance that he may have ruined the prospects of the most Trumpian, "Maple MAGA" politician in Canadian history.

Instead, Trump united Canada against not only him but perhaps the U.S. as a whole, for generations to come.

I'm afraid he may be right. If so the ride is going to get even bumpier.
Journalists are trying to understand Trump’s irrational behavior, and are generally unwilling to consider the possibility that it's not some grand strategy, but a madman with increasingly diminished mental faculties.
There Is No Method to Trump’s Madness. He’s Simply Insane.
His defenders try to apply reason to his erratic, nonsensical decisions. That’s a fool’s errand—but fools abound in this administration.
