More like the 1900s…1930s is when child labor laws were finally passed after decades of efforts to get them passed. It took the Great Depression to do it—grown men needed those jobs. Now the situation is such that grown men (and women) don’t want those jobs, and immigrant labor is scarce, so…kids.
