This is a special cake in my family that I haven’t had in several decades because the key ingredient wasn’t available. Called marshmallow cake, it has peppermint extract and crushed peppermint candies in the frosting (which is a box mix and which I couldn’t find for the last 20 years - until now).

I have wanted to make this tart, planning it in my head, for well over a year.
Originally just a flirty inside-joke, this pear-ginger tart has sweet bosch pears and slivers of crystal ginger on a pastry crust. Even though it didn’t turn out quite like I planned, it was delicious.

I think about Aaron Swartz often. Information wants to be free. Hoarding knowledge for profit is Anti-Human. Stealing knowledge to turn it into more hoarded knowledge so that you can sell it back for profit is Evil.

Don’t know if it’s enby-ness or autism or ADHD or just a general miasma of queerness (each of those communities claim this issue), but I’m entirely incapable of sitting “properly.” This is me sitting across my favorite chair, thinking about all the great music experiences in the next couple months.

Trying to get a better feel for the Canon m50 I bought as a backup when I was still shooting. But right after I bought it, RA and fibro were affecting me so badly I closed the studio and never really used the m50. But it’s super light compared to my full-frame camera.
