This is my big 20 yr old female RES warming up near the fridge while her tank was cleaned. The 2 white spots on her shell are from her taking a header this past summer while gravid. Vet said she superficially cracked her shell & no internal bleeding.🙏 Her shell is healing & tank covered better. ❤️🐢

Too much disappointment today. Oil piracy, kidnapping a leader from a sovereign nation, threatens a handful of other nations they are next. That is dangerous. 🍊needs to find reality.

Photo was taken about 1 week before the big turtle died from cancer per the vet. The smaller turtle bonded with the big one back then. Now, that small turtle is a solid 5 pounds. It’s been a few years, but I still miss my lap turtle girl. She was the only one who would watch TV with me.❤️🐢

This is what we have. We have to use a heat emitter at night for him as it gets cold this time of year. Basking heat lamp for daytime. His hard resin cave is in the far corner area under the heat emitter.

Your tortoise is so cute! 🥰 I have a Russian tortoise in addition to my turtles. Question- did you make the cave for your tortoise? If so, what is it made of? My tortoise is a climber and I’d like to figure out something where he can climb & be king of the hill. He has a ceramic cave for his house.
