We finally have a patio! As we approach our second summer as homeowners, we are finally in a place to really start making it our own.

Thus, the patio! We are going to do more, but this is such an improvement for us, especially since we love the outdoors so much.
The before photo, grass and weeds along the back of the house, the space by the back door is cleared of pavers, ready for a patio! We also had the space for a shed paved and put our initials in the corner. Pictured is a heart with "CW" inside. To the bottom right is "'25". The patio, still drying but unframed. It runs along the back of the house with a walkway to our garage and a couple 4x4 anchors. The finished patio with 4x4s installed supporting a teal shadesail in the foreground. Moving along the house there are various plants, a bbq, and a canopy all decorating the patio.

Starting my birthday weekend with style!

I'm powering up with some reading, chilling, and a tasty, proteiny start to my day. Once I finish my book I'm outside in the garden. 📖💚☕️

My day wandering around San Jose! I started at Voltaire Coffee, lunch at FAB, some awesome art and shops everywhere, time reading in the sun, and the Quilting and Textiles Museum!

Yesterday was another great California day! It was forecasted as the sunniest day while we are here, so I ended up at Half Moon Bay(thanks to a combo of my s.o. and Uber).

They have a baleautiful beach, lovely people, a cute downtown, and great food!
California Benedict and hasbrowns from Half Moon Bay Coffee Co. Super pretty and delicious. A super pretty mural in downtown depicting an underwater scene with a seal, octopus, and various other creatures. The wildlife was very friendly (and remember I'm a Disney princess). The bird kept chattering and visiting me. The front display at a yarn shop called Fengari. It features a large, coral-colored, knit octopus manipulating yarn.

I'm visiting the San Jose Area this week. The area transit is on strike, but even hoofing it, there's plenty to do. All the steps mean more delicious treats.

I've seen Winchester Mystery House (fab!), Santana Row, all of Westfield Valley Fair, and now a break at B&N.

I took the week off last week and we've had a couple snow days since as well. Today was the first day my s.o. and I worked away from home since.

It was my last day at school for the year and we had our white elephant.

Our students and families really spoil us though!

My boss really wins it this year...I officially have the title "Shit Show Supervisor" now.

But really...all sugar, no booze?!

And lots of socks.

I'm not mad at it. ❤️
There is an arrangement of various items on a counter with two gift baskets with cookies, chocolate, and other similar consumables. One is a crockpot chocolate fondue kit. Among the other items are 11 pairs of socks, lots of individual chocolate bars/boxes, various giftcards/cards, a grey beanie that has white lettering "shit show supervisor", a set of kitchen towels and mitts, a white elephant provided yellow clutch (barf), and a vintage style cat puzzle.

Since I had the afternoon to myself, I got into my project stash and made this! I got the coffee sack for $3 a few months back to haul some stuff. We have a white elephant tomorrow, so I'm putting some goodies in this for one of my teachers!

My weekend has definitely started with a mood.

I'm not surprised by my Wrapped generally.

I am surprised I don't see a couple artists on here, but they probably are just below the top 5.

Lizzo, Miley, Raye, and Taylor are up there. So is Sam Smith and Lil Nas X. And always a peppering of ZZ Top and other classic rock.
