Elon simply states he doesn’t want to provide the capability that triggers WW3 and never intended on Starlink being for military use 🤷‍♂️

aren’t there already means of making the inflight restrooms on almost all domestic flights accessible?

onboard wheelchairs that fit down the aisle, removable doors, privacy curtains, etc

if this policy leads to less seats per plane somehow I certainly expect an increase in flight prices

what nonsense - he’s limited api due to scraping while recognizing the immense asset value Twitter has as AI training data set..

considering it also costs money to serve content to these scrapers.. it’s a financial decision

this headline frame is typical leftist rage bait
Musk's Twitter is jeopardizing war crimes investigations. The platform was one of the most accessible for gathering human rights data but new policies are changing this, says Raquel Vazquez Llorente, head of law and policy at WITNESS:
How Musk's Twitter is Jeopardizing War Crimes Investigations
Musk’s policies are turning Twitter less transparent, making human rights documentation more difficult, says Raquel Vazquez Llorente.

Pro tip: all major social media companies do this. Twitter, ironically, was one of the only companies that ever pushed back against law enforcement demands for data/unmasking/etc.

Now, well. Here we are.
most terrifying part of this is that facebook gave up their messages to the police

the fact people are so openly racist towards white people on this platform is shocking, tbh 🤷‍♂️

while I don’t agree with the framing of everything, this is the most accurate summary of this topic I’ve read

kudos to the author for discussing a complex issue and likely opening themselves up to bad faith commentary from their own side

more of this please 🙏🏻
Please read this, particularly if the men in your life seem to have shifted in search of a new masculine.

I really think Christine Emba has articulated something a lot of us have missed.

have to say my bluesky feed is way more interesting and full of reasonable opinions now that I’m on two mute lists

maybe this was a gift more than a punishment? removing all of the intolerant leftist trolls from my feed has been a blessing 😀

apparently I was added to two block lists today

one is for transphobes (which I’m not) and the other appears to just be a nebulous catch all to silence anyone disagreeing with the “fuck America” posts

strange times

Twitter - $8/month plz if you want stupid blue check (so we don’t go bankrupt)

Everyone - f u Nazi!!!!

BlueSky - free but raises VC round

Everyone - can I pay $10/month pls?

😂
We raised an $8M seed round led by Neo, with participation from other seasoned allies who want to help us realize our vision of an open commons for public conversation.

With this funding, we can expand our team, manage increasing ops & infra costs, and grow the AT Protocol ecosystem & Bluesky app.
Our Plan for a Sustainably Open Social Network
We've been exploring avenues of monetization other than traditional advertising, and have raised a seed round to support our mission and growth.

apparently discourse on BlueSky is bad and should be eliminated at all costs 😅

from a bad actor, I can understand, but to paint all discourse as bad seems a bit much 🤷‍♂️
It’s happened a few times in the ~3 months I’ve been here, but is usually shot down almost instantaneously or, if it’s from a bad faith actor trying to stir things up, are thoroughly and immediately bullied off the platform.
