this is it! I don’t really like how they introduced a skill ceiling either, because the game doesn’t force you or even really want you to push yourself when playing casually/alone. If you play to just “have fun”, then all of a sudden playing online feels horrible

focused on creating openings by trying to create advantages in specific parts of the map for the weapons on their team that are stronger at fighting.

And, as is always mis-interpreted, roles are FLUID. Just because your weapon controls space well does not mean it can’t fight well!!

The painting slot in your team really specializes in controlling fights and dictates space. It is very strong at separating fights because splatoon is a game where every weapon has a set range value.

A common misconception is that larger teams directly leads to a faster output of games, but this is not completely true. A larger team means significantly more friction between departments, and you need to pay MORE money to manage those departments

of course AAA studios charge more for their games when they pay enormous amounts of money to push the boundaries of the current standards of gaming with a short turnaround

silksong is amazing but large studios don’t want to take 7 years to develop every game.
