I can't blame her for defaulting to a defensive reaction based on her past experiences, but it was def bad optics. She's human, I don't know her, I try to give her the benefit of the doubt as long as she's not doing material harm.

Funnily enough, just saw her address this in one of her random YT video game streams lol. Apologized for reacting poorly to what felt like a bad faith dogpile to her, clarified that she supports Palestine, etc. But she has kind of a naturally condescending academic air, so it still had that vibe.

Hate Sherlock, loved this lol. But agreed about the ending, the third episode was the weakest in general by like a wide margin. Even then, still had fun. Honestly, mostly just disappointed by it because I wanted more Sister Van Helsing.

It's sooo good -- and if you're not afraid of making the bread dough yourself, really not hard to make at home if you're ever feeling adventurous!

Her banter about the veggie thing is that it was based on what she could forage before. Presumably, she has access to a lot more at the Lighthouse, thanks if nothing else to Lucanis lol. Like, she knew how to make khachapuri despite cheese being difficult to find in a forest, by her own admission.

I don't think it's that wild. She starts that conversation by humble-bragging about her cooking skills, how diverse her repertoire of recipes is, etc., which is why she brings up khachapuri (a Tevinter dish in Thedas, not Dalish). She's just ALSO easily distracted, so the results are unreliable lol.

I remember once I shared a charcoal drawing of a Siamese cat in 3rd or 4th grade, and my teacher said to me it wasn't a Siamese because those have brown markings, not black (which some do btw!!!!)... Ma'am, it's uncolored charcoal....

Yeah, the character-driven/centric stuff all felt really believable and mostly compelling to me, but the meat of, like... the actual overarching narrative and the messaging/theme not only fell flat for me but felt completely at odds with itself, idk.

I mean this in the least smug way that I can, but I sensed something was awry with the writing as early as the prologue. Partially in a totally subjective "this chafes with my personal sensibilities" kinda way, and ultimately I kept going because I liked ENOUGH of the rest of the game, but man lol.
