Yes to all this. You get it. There’s no way they aren’t going to continue their specific story since it’s been a continual thread connecting in each ep and I LOVE that they’re bringing Hilda back. I felt that story wasn’t complete and now it makes sense why. Because it will be in the CS.

I wouldn’t mind a cheek kiss to appease the crowd. Or on the hand as you suggested. But I do feel the same with maybe not wanting an actual first kiss to be a mistletoe one in front of a crowd. Needs to be private
