@oncinema.bsky.social : “On Cinema” depicts an amateur production between two antagonistic hosts. They regularly find themselves in arguments, most of which have nothing to do with movies and more to do with their own show. But you cannot possibly be prepared you for the disorder that follows.

Cameron Winter - Heavy Metal: Heavy Metal plays like a classic singer/songwriter album obscured with brain fog. The songs are rough around the edges and free-flowing. While Winter’s style is undeniably esoteric, the ideas that manage to shine through the haze are remarkable.

When writing essays, I’ve always been as close to a perfectionist as I can on the first draft, but I’m realizing more and more not to blur the lines between “writing” and “editing”. Write first, edit later.

I went searching for it and couldn’t find it, but if I remember correctly it was during a radio interview. Either way, I don’t even disagree with your point, I just find the story funny. :)

There’s an old anecdote from Kurt Vonnegut where he recalls a party with a bunch of writers, all of which complain about how they hate writing. Eventually, one person speaks up, declaring their love for the medium. Turns out, they’re the one person who can’t write.

Sometimes I wonder if this is actually the case, or if our brains just have a profound way of procrastinating. In my case, it’s the latter. Often times if you just start, the rest will fall into place.
