Been thinking a lot about my privilege. In general I would say that though it’s depressing when it feels like your kindness or interest are unreciprocated, the list of who actually owes me anything is really short. People would even say “be grateful you have a job” but you know what? Fuck that.

Just looking at all these people, going out on a Tuesday evening to watch their middle schoolers at an orchestra recital trying to hold desperately onto some kind of normalcy, some tiny mote of joy in their lives in the midst of all of this.
