And so it begins… First miniature build from this year’s new edition box of Blood Bowl. There are two head options in the sprue, but I think this Norse head goes nicely with combative pose of this Bretonnian squire lineman.

Been reading thru the new Blood Bowl manual. Ok, there are some interesting rule changes and team roster building tweaks, but let’s put them aside for a while until had a chance to test them out in practice. But just the production quality of this book is top notch.

Here are two special rats: the smaller is robotic enhanced skaven blitzer, the bigger Rat Ogre. The wh40k terminator hand and servo-skull kitbashed parts were made to represent Claw and Two Heads mutations. Rat Ogre has Juggernaut skill.

Blood Bowl manual from 1st edition. Pretty op magic items: Leaping five squares. Leafing thru my (not so mint condition) 1986 booklet, I came to the conclusion that it’s not just fantasy tabletop games but English language too that I learned from this game.

Dugout - place where Blood Bowl players from 2nd (and 3rd) edition seem to spend most of their time. Had forgotten that stunned players used to have their own spot in the dugout back in the 1988. But 11 players maximum on the field is still a valid reminder.

New Blood Bowl edition drops in one week, while waiting for it I found these cardboard players from 1st edition and its expansion Death Zone. If memory serves me right it was summer of 1987 and skeletons regeneration was bit op.

Doing inventory of my Blood Bowl miniatures while waiting for the next edition to arrive, found these Khorne warriors laying idle. Seems like I only managed to paint the first sprue out of the team box. Got scared of all the frenzy on the roster, I guess.
