I don’t know how the debate devolved to big vs. small. Don’t you have to be big/centralized to solve certain problems? Isn’t it better to be small and decentralized to solve other problems. If you have toolbox why would you just use a hammer all the time? I pose this the entire political spectrum.

lol. Ok Ford.

Tesla is decidedly not “untouchable” in CA.
January 7, 2026 at 8:38 PM
Ah - the “they are all the same” argument. I call it the South Park Doctrine. A big reason we are in this mess.

This is something I’d absolutely want to test out. A good use case for the AVP.
January 5, 2026 at 6:17 PM
All good. I’m agreeing with you and just being tongue-in-cheek about the taxi thing. It’s nonsense too.
January 5, 2026 at 6:09 PM
At least the ride hailing service does something. 🤪 The robot is likely human operated and not very good even at that. It’s pure pump and dump. There was a risible article in the WSJ that leant a credulous ear to his idiotic claims with almost no push back. And yet…the stock is up again today!

Injecting anything into yourself without proper technique is a quick road to some gruesome infections. Cool.
January 5, 2026 at 4:02 PM
Exactly. The robot is fictitious. And the robo taxi is still conceptual at best.

Go Korean (Hyundai and Kia)

Well that explains what’s going on with his brain too.

Go away for a few days without good internet connection. Glad to see nothing has changed around here.

He was the best Republican president of my lifetime.
December 29, 2025 at 4:33 AM
The problem is that no other Republican included the other phrase when they incanted it all.the.time. And Reagan never actually corrected them. And it ossified into dogma.

American auto manufacturers are so full of it. It extends to ICE cars as well. I’m in Kia Seltos rental and it’s worlds apart from the Jeep rental I was in a couple of weeks ago. I felt like I was breaking a chicken bone everytime I put the blinker on in the Jeep. The Kia was completely smooth.
December 29, 2025 at 4:13 AM
This article is such BS. It’s GM/Ford/Stellanis that lobbied to change the rules back from the Biden era rules. They can’t then complain about the lack of consistency that they themselves caused.

If Dems continue to conduct their purity tests he will win. We excel at circular firing squads.

The funniest thing is his vision is that Ford somehow morphs into a Ferrari or something like that. Who drives around in $150k F-150 as a status symbol? I guess that makes sense in places like Texas but then you are retreating to an even tinier niche.

I’ve had Windows and the Office suite hoisted on to me after a blissful 13 years not having to use it and wow - it’s worse than it’s ever been. Just one illogical UI choice after another, frequent glitches, and AI intrusively nagging you to use it. Horrific.
December 24, 2025 at 2:16 AM
Excellent explanation as usual.

I’ll play the tiniest possible violin for advertisers. Ad-supported apps have been a true blight on our digital life and we need less of it. Apple is right to stamp it down (Facebook cried the hardest about this, if that’s who you want as bedfellows). If you don’t like it, you can go to Android.

I think your critiques of Pluribus mirror my critiques of succession. You pretty much got the point after S1. And the best dialog (“not serious people” is a favorite!) was extremely rare. The rest sounded like the writer’s room was just trying to one-up each other, rather unsuccessfully to my ear.

Throwing a rock at any animal is just really cruel. But throwing a rock at a notoriously belligerent, 5000 lb animal is also just stupid.
December 20, 2025 at 7:38 PM
That said, I’ll never judge Tom for not liking either. To each their own.
December 20, 2025 at 7:36 PM
I know it’s silly but being explicit that it’s an opinion (e.g. “I think Indian food is terrible.” vs “Indian food is terrible.”) will calm the mob down. Redundant? Yes. But clearly people are not getting the point. BTW, I’m Indian and love Indian food and I really like Pluribus.
