While our government is shut down and federal workers go unpaid, Congress will continue to earn. I’ll remember who was still working for the people on the people’s time.

2 We need investors willing to sponsor schools that can establish a similar open attendance area as public schools. Do a lottery for out of area families. Unionize charter school teachers. The US school system has gangrene. I don’t want to save it while it kills me. I want a new one.

1 My district has closed multiple schools in the last few years. Across the country, districts are becoming more restrictive. What if we did lean in? What if we can co-opt the charter school movement? If so, now is the time. In 10 years, we may not be able to get a charter for an inclusive school.

Regardless of whether you are satisfied with my answer or not, that is my answer.

Regardless of whether you are satisfied with it or not, that is my answer to your question. The fixation on ending rumor spread runs counter to your agreement that the family deserves clarity. Rumors can only grow in the absence of clarity. They will stop when the family has closure and no sooner.

We seem to agree that the family deserves clarity. So we also agree that there is a lack of clarity. That’s where rumors come from. They’re not inherently false, just unsubstantiated. The rumors stem from the family’s uncertainty. They will not stop until the family can stop digging for closure.

Ah. Don’t forget your spaces after a period. It makes a link that hangs out even after you put the space. Noted.

A typing mistake. It happens.

A bunch of people spreading rumors is 1 thing. The family’s need for certainty is another. Whether intended or not, your comments seem disparaging of both. I’m focusing on the family. Once the most important people have what they need, I’ll let myself have an opinion.
September 22, 2025 at 3:09 PM
I admit to an error but do not withdraw my support for the family to pursue certainty. Forget for a moment your own opinion & imagine that’s the first thing you knew about your CHILD’s death & you learned the rest from media & convos of outsiders. I hope, whatever the results, they find closure.

That is an irrelevant comparison.

Bolivar police allegedly lied to the family and caused this doubt. Whatever the experts found, the initial choice to lie and let the family get their updates 2nd hand from the news has undercut trust in the experts. I get it. Whatever the results of the 2nd opinion, it’s closure that’s needed.
September 22, 2025 at 2:12 PM
These aren’t rumors. The family has verbally expressed doubt and followed through on their concerns. People expressing feelings is still a standard human thing to do. If others are concerned that the family is has this doubt when they thought the experts could be trusted…they’re gonna talk.
September 22, 2025 at 4:42 AM
If the family has doubt, they have a right to use whatever resources they have to pursue a 2nd opinion. It doesn’t matter what I want. The family wants to know for sure.
September 22, 2025 at 4:34 AM
I’m not sure who “you all” is supposed to be. No one wants this to be a lynching. No one SHOULD. Whatever we want or think doesn’t change what is. Right now, the family has too much doubt to know what is. In the land of the free, a family has a right to get a 2nd opinion for the sake of certainty.

I know many who have been devastated by a suicide no one saw coming, myself included. Along with deep grief is a fear that we never really knew them at all.

Would you instead pray that someone you knew well, loved, & believed was of sound mind could suddenly make that choice without warning?
