Hannah Arendt was right in the Origins of Totalitarianism when she said that white supremacist are not nationalists. They use nationalism as a facade, but only have loyalty to a country insofar as it serves the end of white supremacy.

People thought that defeating nazi Germany would end fascism. Wrong. Defeating fascism will defeat fascism. And the US was and always will be a fascist country.

Those are absurd things to say about the cuts. The president could have said that they regretted cutting necessary programs. Instead they chose to make the argument that critical thinking skills and gender literacy are not necessary for future generations. RIP the future.
