I find that peeling back the layers a bit at a time can be sad/frightening/angering/revealing or whatever descriptive fits.
While initially it may seem as if we are unable to get through that feeling, eventually we do and are able to move forward. I have faith in you.

A hashbrown patty is the ultimate yin and yang of foodland flattened into a convenient little patty. It takes no silverware or special implements to eat, cooks up fast, and can be toted just about anywhere. Does it get much better? I think not.

It's one small slice of grease and goodness that seems small enough that the average adult doesn't feel like they're eating anything bad for them. It's a bundle of comfort food with softness, crunchiness and just the correct amount of salt.

He's wearing what's trying to pass for turn out gear. My retired Firefighter late husband is spinning in his grave. It seems obvious to me that he's never really looked at FD gear or he would be trying to make it look like a muscle shirt at the gym (in the middle of such a catastrophic fire event)

We put quarters in a soda can and duct taped the top closed. A couple of shakes from that thing and the cats as well a the dogs 'snapped to'. It was loud enough to break the pattern and annoying or scary enough that after a time or two they stopped.
