Happy Halloween! Turns out my half finished landscaping projects and random dirt piles just add to the mystique.

Spotted while exploring the countryside of lovely West Virginia (in case anyone is wondering how things are going here) But the land is spectacular!

Well hello there. Seek says you were “introduced,” so I hope you’re nice because you are very pretty.

Can anyone help me identify this green plant? My Seek app can’t get past “dicots.” #gardening #invasives #nativeplants

How should I safely dispose of/neutralize Asian Bittersweet seeds?

I heard crackling and rumbling, so I jumped up and ran to the middle of the house to hedge my bets. A loud boom shook the house. Outside, a huge tree had come down exactly between our and our neighbors’ house. Phew!! Any arborists out there who can say why?

Sorry to treat this post so literally, but this is my grandfather’s top hat. He lived in New York City in the late 1890s through his passing around 1945. He had a big head like I do.

Wow, that is gorgeous. It reminds me of Randolph Hall at the College of Charleston.

I’ve decided to make an artistic album of all the photos I’ve taken by accident because there’s a weird button on the side of my new phone I am too ancient and tired to learn how to customize

And here are the half finished terraces before all the snow came. I can’t wait to pick the work back up when it starts warming up again. I dug trenches and laid French drain pipes along the rocks, and I want to get the drainage right before permanently installing the retaining walls.

Thank you for this!! We have a huge issue with runoff and it’s been a joy trying to create solutions to disperse, slow, and redirect runoff. I would work in the rain so I could see the effects in real time. Can’t wait for spring so I can continue improving it.

After I cut an invasive vine, is there anything I can do (besides pulling it up by the roots) to kill or weaken the remaining base of the vine in the ground? I don’t want to use toxic chemicals that may harm the soil or nearby water. #nativeplants #rewilding #organic

Oh and also a sequel about Jolene’s life (the incredible Moses Ingram) but they have to use her because she is so captivating to watch on screen.

I need a Queen’s Gambit prequel focused on the wonderful Mr. Shaibel‘s backstory. The actor, Bill Camp, was also the Looming Tower. In the end of Queen’s Gambit when she took a stroll through the city and experienced the outpouring of support from all those father figures, I was bawling (happy cry).

Wow, Martin Luther was a charismatic, brave man who spoke out against the corruption in the Catholic Church. For that, he had to go on the run. He was given refuge in the beautiful Wartburg castle where he translated the New Testament into German for all to read; the beginning of Protestantism.
