vientos slumping really put the team in a bind, I think. just really hoping he recaptures the 2024 magic and can be plus at first. with baty coming into his own as more than serviceable at third, I doubt the team will want to add bregman. Clifford also in the pipeline. it's tough

so while I agree with the point 100% that expecting strategy out of writers is asinine, I disagree that Ezra has just been doing strategy in his drift to the center/toward the right for the last decade

at this point, there is a smaller collection of writing by younger, poorer Ezra saying "this is what I believe, and what we should do." and a much larger body of an older, richer Ezra saying "I don't believe this, but this is what we should do." I just don't believe that he doesn't believe in it.
