Haha thank you ☺️. My ears get red when I’m anxious/angry/embarrassed/ashamed and I didn’t find that out until AFTER I cut my hair 😂

My hair never worked perfectly lol on top of being silly thick, it’s also very coarse, and I didn’t realize it was wavy until I was in my mid-30s 😆 so I just thought I just had bad hair/didn’t know what to do with it. Sometimes I miss it long but only when I’m trying to hide my face/ears lol

Omg yes! And dying it, and styling it, and and and. All I have to do now is dry it (which takes infinitely less time) and throw some texture powder in to spike the back, and a little hair spray. So much less work than straightening it or messing with it to keep it wavy. I was not adept at long hair

I added pre-chop pics (idk if I added it to the right thread because blue sky is confusing and I’m old lol) but I definitely encourage you to chop it if you really want it. It’s…liberating in a way. I was scared to but it’s been a few years and I’ll never go back 💜

I tried to find pics to show the thickness but most of where it is thickest is in the back 😆. I promise you can do short with thick hair tho, and it holds whatever shape you want much better, you just have to have them use the thinning shears some (and they’ll be shocked every time lol)

Not to ack-shually 🤓 all over your comment (thank you for the compliment, btw), BUT you can! My hair is actually crazy thick, always has been, and it used to be super long. My stylist razors it and uses the thinning shears very liberally, and this style is so much more manageable than my long hair.
