I know very little about A/B/O or these characters, but this story changed something in me. Seeing the long haired character being treated so tenderly by the other two, and the earnest depictions of intimacy, was very touching to read. And it’s nice to see a world where sexuality is open and normal.

I felt like I was taking away Black lesbian MC representation away from the world and would disappoint people. Also felt like I was giving into the patriarchy/male gaze and perpetuating harmful bi stereotypes (even though the majority of Miyans practice polyamory).

But it was fine! IT WAS FINE

Even Ratna, who I adore the character design of (weak for lesbians lol) and passion for robotics of, gave me the ick factor with how coldly she treated Mari-ko in her story.

Bought and read this a few days ago and I’m still thinking about it…On an intellectual level, the ethical implications are fascinating. On the “existing as a woman” level, I was horrified…lowkey I hate every man in this book for how they treat Mari-ko and the other women in their lives!!!
