By some miracle, her vision did return. I've spent the last year and thousands of dollars seeing vets and her vision coming and going. She saw her opthalmologist today, her eyes are damaged. Her blood pressure is somewhat controlled. Internal medicine is next.

They told me her vision likely wouldn't return. She had bilateral retinal detachments. I was devastated. How could I have failed her so bad. I had heard warnings. The second I saw her blind, I knew it was high blood pressure, because what happened to my cat was just like the story I heard.

One day in March 2024, I returned from running an errand to find my baby blind. At the urgent care vet, her blood pressure was 275! Cat's top number should be just like ours, so this was bad. The urgent care sent me to the nearest ER.

I remembered thinking after reading that story, "I'll get Bigglesworth checked!" I forgot. I simply forgot about it. When I would take her to the vet, the thought never crossed my mind again. She seemed healthy! The vet never suggested we take her blood pressure.
