I mean, try having a job where toxicology is a huge subtopic. That's been my past decade, and I've not been visited yet (yet being the key word?). You are probably okay.

However, one of my fave romance novels back in the day was an age gap romance (Family Blessings by Lavyrle Spencer...haven't read it in years and years, so I don't know how it's aged, but so good)

I'm not an age gap romance fan, so I tend not to read it. It's that simple. No need to make it shitty for the people that read it or write it.

The whole thing is infuriating, period.

As a woman affected by the ridiculous "gender ideology" bs EO, I actually feel less safe by everything in there. Especially the potential ramifications of the wording used in sec.3 & I find it ironic that it defines everyone as female & can only hope someone points that out in court.

Also, if there are any Occupational Health, Environmental Health, or Public Health folks out there, they all have organizations too, I'm just not as familiar with them. Our little corner of science is pretty forgotten about, and in many cases, straight up unknown.

The American Industrial Hygiene Association and the American Confrence of Governmental Industrial Hygenists. I have no idea how either organization would go on something like this, but a GOP rep just intro'd a bill to repeal OSHA and that's where the professional side gets their teeth.

Yes, he has his supporters, but there are also so very many that do not support him that will continue to serve--same with the civil service--because they believe and they want their retirement. No America, no retirement check.

Everyone who joins has a story for why, and from my experience, who is in the White House usually has very little to do with it.

In my case, it was for health insurance & the gi bill, for my husband because he was from a podunk town with lack of opportunity & to serve (he joined right after 9/11), for our oldest, who just got a ship date, its to prove them wrong because they don't want people like her.

Honestly, that's not why most people join the actual military. Most of the time, for most recruits, it's the economy. In this case, it's also that the Army fixed the biggest barrier for people wanting to join, which is physical and academic readiness.
Trump takes credit for Army recruiting surge, but it started a year ago
The Army has seen recruiting numbers climb since mid-2024, when the service made several major changes to its recruiting enterprise.

It just astounds me that we still have to tell people this...over and over and over and over. Vaccine insanity was a thing before my kids were born, and it's still going strong - they're in high school now. Wtf.
