Being GenX, I grew up thinking the laws/guidelines were somewhat universal. IF anyone breaks XYZ laws, there are generally, 1-2-3 repercussions as a result. There needs to be consistent consequences for violating our nation's laws. Looking right at you- @rpsagainsttrump.bsky.social

In good news, with a 300 character limit, at least you'll see less of tl;dr...🤣

For most of my life, the gov't infrastructure has been eroded from within. Processes/procedures made more arduous, and laws, that are supposed to be "accessible by the layman"- and applied equally, have been made harder to understand, let alone enforce. I want Star Trek universe, not Star Wars. 😭

Having worked in state government, many things are funded via a leaky bucket. All systems have issues. They can be made better, but not in the manner that's currently in play. Watching what is happening, is like being trapped in an ever- worsening panic attack.

The problem with the SAVE act, is that it infers that there are non-citizens registered to vote. The act seems to want voters to provide documents with every vote? We have our REAL IDs. Once registered, I shouldn't have to have proof of citizenship, again, right?!
Don't we have bigger issues?!

The "SAVE" act...
I can see how a loop hole could remove married women's right to vote. Our birth name doesn't match our legal name after marriage. That should be surmountable with a copy of the marriage certificate... right?
