3/...had to be destroyed by racists at the state legislature. The states actions were later ruled unconstitutional due to racial animus by the federal courts. Yet MAS is still gone from TUSD. That history alone is but a snippet of what needs to be told in a Tucson Chicano Cultural Center. Viva la

2/...Having one in Tucson would be a dream come true. We dont learn about Chicano history in our public schools and when Tucson tried to remedy that a little bit with the TUSD MAS Program it was graduating students and closing the achievement gap better than any in Tucson's history so of course it
