(Former?) Tucson muralist Cyfi (Rock Martinez) has this 3-D work of a shark at the Artemizia Foundation in Bisbee. The big show is by another Tucson muralist, Jessica Gonzales. Artemizia specializes in contemporary, street art, graffiti... it's worth the trip if you're into that kind of art!

Yup, with Black Friday etc., it's the week that keeps your wallet busy. But -- especially this year, with Arizona's funding small -- think about giving to the arts. To find favorite organizations, go to their website, or their social media, and either look for Giving Tuesday or just for donations.

The mural by Joe Pagac and Lenka Vašíčková (and a few others) looks almost finished on the south side of the building at 630 N. Alvernon. (They'll paint the north side sometime soon.) It's Joe's biggest mural so far: 9000 sq. feet. Here's the view this morning from across 5th Street:

This @TucsonMuseumArt newsletter starts with the free Second Sundaze family day this Sunday October 12. It also covers other upcoming events. I'm glad to see they're using their roof for Happy Hours... they haven't used it for years, and it's a nice spot.
