You can follow your hopes and dreams, sure, maybe you should -- but you shouldn't expect to get paid for it. It's simple math that most people MUST fail and you can't beat it with determination, platitudes and elbow grease, it's irrefutable reality.

Moreover, we also need to just frankly flat-out accept that failure is inevitable. It's guaranteed. That's what the entertainment industry is: Guaranteed failure, because there are FAR more people attempting to make money than there is money willing to be spent in this industry.

More chances does NOT = more chances you could have a hit. It's a fallacious idea. If you spend no time polishing a product or putting any craftsmanship into it, you can expect it will be received for the shovelware that it truly is. We really need to discourage this shovelware mindset.
