The hardest part of writing isn’t starting—it’s keeping yourself in the chair.

Set a timer. Block distractions. Promise yourself just 15 minutes. Once you start, momentum will do the rest.

Small steps finish screenplays. Keep going. 💻

🎬 The secret to lasting as a screenwriter? Fall in love with the process, not the outcome.

Chasing approval drains the joy from your words. Writing for fun fills your scripts with heart—and fuels persistence.

Write for the love of it. Success will follow.

Great dialogue isn’t about clever lines—it’s about subtext.

What your characters don’t say is often more powerful than what they do. Let their true intentions simmer beneath the surface.

Keep it subtle. Let the audience lean in. 🎭✍️

Your goal isn’t to write a good screenplay

It’s just to write a screenplay

Until you’re able to get through the first draft, you have no business trying to “make it good”

That comes on the second draft

And the third…

And the twelfth…..

Trust me when I say:

- Skipping the outline
- Prioritizing your characters
- Writing every single day

Will make it 100x easier to actually finish your screenplay

Your writing skills aren’t the problem, lack of practice is

Your identity as a writer is more important than anything else.

You don’t need more clever dialogue.

You don’t need better plot structure.

You just need to start writing.

One meaningful project.
One hour of focused work.
One day at a time, without fail.

If you're trying to make screenwriting your full-time, this is the minimum. #scriptsky
