To keep myself sane this year, I am turning my back yard into a little park. Decluttering, planting perennials, setting up bird and squirrel feeders. A space to go for a cup of tea when the outside world is screaming. I just need a sanctuary for my sanity. Pictures to come soon.

How do you deport someone from their own country? Deport to WHERE? Kidnapping American citizens and selling them into foreign countries for labor camps sounds a little more like human trafficking than 'deporting' to me.

Europe may have to do this without us. If Zelensky is the abused wife and Trump is the wife beater, Europe right now still believes couples therapy might help. They are still not accepting him as who he really is. The sooner they do, the better we can react effectively.

We have become so dependent on electronic payments, etc. It may be the time to go dark and get offline. Pay bills in person with cash. Use the internet for amusement, but not for business. Ask an old person how to do it, we know how to live off the grid. Going old-school might be the new thing now.

I expect Trump to do everything he can to dismantle our democracy, and it's frightening. What is more frightening to me is the utter lack of an organized coalescence of leadership in opposition. We NEED a leader to rally behind, and we will resist! We can't do this individually! Where are you?

If I owned a company who was under pressure to remove DEI requirements for hiring, I would make it clear that those requirements were never necessary because our company BELIEVED IN THAT ALL ALONG. I would advertise that this is our standard and always has been. It won't change now and never will.

The Resistance starts at home. It starts with educating your children so they cannot be brainwashed at school. It starts with Denali and Gulf of Mexico being used, with MLK and Juneteenth being observed. They can control the government, but we can disregard and do it anyway. Resistance is at home.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the wrong time to start cutting services like FAA and NTSB? Is this a bad idea to cut back on air traffic controllers right now??
