Impressive. In early March 2011 the volcano was dormant. At least back then there was a watching tower where you could spend the night in a hammock, and wake up to the beautiful chorus of cicadas and hornbills. During the wee hours a lone Borneo pygmy elephant visited the area. https://t.co/Kafa...

Vladimir Sorokin is one of those Russian authors whose ideas are fantastically obscure - like in Blått fett (Blue lard) - but whose prose I find very hard to approach. Well, I guess I just need to try some more. 6/7

The book was wrapped in a copy of Aftenposten of 8th March w/ Aftenposten Junior, the weekly news format targeted to children but interesting to all. Like its fourtnightly Finnish sister magazine HBL Junior, it does not contain any (direct) advertisement. 5/7
