Tonight, in a unanimous vote the Tuscaloosa City Council formally adopted a new zoning code for the city, replacing the previous zoning code which was adopted in 1972. This vote brings zoning in Tuscaloosa into the 21st Century! (thread)

Sports Illustrated Resort proposal on Rice Mine Road was officially withdrawn today. Developer plans to return to the drawing board and redesign the project to address resident's concerns brought up at last week's City Council meeting.

Brightline will increase the number of trains to and from Orlando from 8 daily roundtrips to 15 daily roundtrips starting on October 9. Trains will depart at each end hourly and take roughly 3 hrs 38 minutes end to end. www.local10.com/news/local/2...
