Funny, isn’t it, how if the public knows someone’s middle name, it’s basically because they’re infamous?

I started a soho-focused Satcom service around 2007 — before all the MEO, LEO, and other efforts. It worked, and was about $50 a month.

You know what? No one bought it. People who had money bought more expensive service. Loads of people just didn’t have any money.

Maybe the market has ‘matured’.

This was exactly my point.

I have so many copies at this point. And I don’t even use rules!

Google spent loads on balloons through Moonshot/Loon. It was an interesting idea that didn’t work very well in practice.

There’s something romantic about steampunky airships blasting down connectivity. Unfortunately, much like passenger dirigibles, there’s much more reliable tech available.

Makes you want to return the first one and reorder, doesn’t it?

The situation is totally stupid.

It’s something.

And then having a little party in your mind palace when you do manage some unstructured work.

Like, I dunno, writing?

Feels good though, doesn’t it.

Total web bust territory. ‘AI’ makes people stupid. This will all end in tears.

Waiting for your transfer to the Wes End. I can provide a mean backyard BBQ.

The thing about satire today is: you have to think about whether it’s really satire. I had to check the publication, because, it could be true!

And still might be. What if the Onion is the NYT of today?

Yeah, so how did that work?y y

All of us in the Bernie campaign tried to tell everyone what was going to happen. Bernie as VP (in 2016, if not 2020) would have flipped the script.

People want to be listened to. Or at least lied to that their being listened to.

Le sigh.

I know you’re into AI, but that quote is absolute bollocks.
