I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a bill pass where everyone agrees it’s going to make the country worse off in every way. What better symbol that our old democracy is dead?

I know there were deep issues that needed addressing, but wasn’t the economy like OK just three months ago? This is the biggest, fastest self-inflicted wound I’ve seen this country do in my lifetime at least…
