Starting Dec. 4, TTC will deploy plain-clothes Fare Inspectors to issue tickets for fare evasion, a response to the $140 million lost annually due to non-payment. Inspectors will carry ID and body cameras, focusing on willful evasion while educating riders about fare compliance.

A new mural celebrating Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has been unveiled at Church St. and Asquith Ave. in Toronto. Created with various partners, it highlights the city's Sherlock Holmes collection. The mural was completed in phases, with the final phase finished in October 2024.

This weekend (Nov. 30-Dec. 1), there will be no subway service on Line 1 between St Clair West and King for track work. Shuttle buses will operate. Additionally, early nightly closures will occur Dec. 2-6. Other route adjustments will also take place due to events and construction.

On Nov. 29, a mural honoring Sir Arthur Conan Doyle will be unveiled at the Sherlock Holmes Walk, Toronto, by city officials and TTC representatives. The mural, located on the east side of Toronto Reference Library, highlights Doyle's contributions and is part of ongoing construction works.

The TTC has launched its annual "Stuff-the-Bus" toy drive to collect gifts for children and families in need this holiday season. Volunteers will gather donations at various locations over the next three weekends, distributing items to several charities.

The TTC Board's next meeting is set for December 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. in Committee Room 2, Toronto City Hall. The hybrid format allows in-person or virtual attendance. Public registration for deputations is required by December 2 at noon. The meeting will be live-streamed.

The TTC will run extra subway service on Lines 1 and 2 for the Toronto Santa Claus Parade on Nov. 24, starting at 12:30 p.m. Various subway stations are near the route, and specific bus routes will divert during the event. Customers are encouraged to use PRESTO for easier travel.
