Grown-Up Comic #2: "Not Enough" (CW for disordered eating)
Inside of me are two wolves. One says to eat. One says to starve. Both are hungry. Last year, I lost weight to illness. A friend urged me to gain it back. We spoke again at a Memorial Day barbecue. He said I looked healthier. That was decidedly a good thing, but a June of reserved nibbling snowballed into a July of skipping meals. I don't think I've hit a four-digit calorie count on any given day this month. I feel too tired and too ill to endure each day. Even now I'm in lots of pain. What's a little more? One wolf wants to howl for help. It knows I'm not eating enough. The other wants to keep its price. It knows I don't feel like enough. I lost at least some of the weight I gained back, but it is not enough. I am not enough.

Grown-Up Comic #1: "Friendzoned"
The other day was the first time I attempted to ask someone out. My original plan was just to leave confessional chocolate on Valentine's Day, anonymously. But I grew impatient, and worse, bold. So instead, I wrote a letter. I thought it could work...Well, maybe a 20% chance. Believe me, I thought of every possibility. And today I got my answer. It was the best "no" I could have gotten. He even apologized for not returning my feelings. The longer the day went on, the worse I began to feel. At the end of it all was when I remembered something important. I still love my friends, and even if it's not in the way I was seeking, they love me too.
