Third of all. not only have people pointed out that M/omota's and O/uma's Love Suite scenes fit together well with both of them wanting a challenging rivalry, but some of the wording here reminded me of O/uma too (1 and 2: the childish stubbornness, 3 and 4: 振り回され)

when you put that together with the slightly self-deprecating tone of こんなオレを好きになってくれたんだ it does give weight to the possibility that his insecurities run deeper than we think

(but then he did say in a throwaway line that he's "famous for attracting ugly people" whatever that means)

second of all, how do I put this,
some characters have Love Suite scenes that establish a relationship with "Saihara", while in others "he" doesn't necessarily like them back, and it's kind of interesting that M/omota assumes, even in his "ideal scenario", that his feelings are unrequited

FIRST OF ALL THE WAY THAT THE LINE DELIVERY HERE GOES QUIET AND TENDER IN A WAY THAT YOU DON'T RLY HEAR FROM HIM IN MAIN STORY (THE LAST TIME I HEARD KIMURYO USE THIS TONE OF VOICE WAS IN OTOME GAMES)
