(8/4) The result section of my presentation slide for the international symposium was almost completed. I discuss the decomposition of a broad vibrational absorption using two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy. This technique provides analytical solution for spectral decmposition.

(7/31) My previous student have studied IR spectroscopy of propargyl alcohol dimers. Yesterday I found a paper titled by the same spectroscopy and the same dimers. Surprisingly, the conclusion is completely different from ours.The reason is ascribed to the technique of dimer production.

(7/30) I attempted DFT calculation of an extraordinary charge-resonance dimer cation. According to the spin multiplicity, the dimer cation illustrates completely different structure. Really interesting.

(7/29) I tried the test calculation of the cation dimer made by pyrrole & protonated pyridine. In my idea, this would be a charge-resonance dimer. However, the dimer is formed by just cation-pi interaction. The natural charge analysis revealed that pyrrole has no positive charge...

(7/25) A new research idea came to my mind. We have used pyrrole as a H-bond donor molecule. Instead of pyrrole, the protonated pyridine seems interesting. It has the NH group as a H-bond donor and 6 pi electrons on the aromatic plane. The difference is only the existence of a positive charge.

(7/20-21) I have prepared the presentation slides for 2DCOS of benzene large clusters. One of the important argument in introduction is that the surface molecules of large clusters serve as a reaction field due to large curvature.
