I also covered a competitor of Royal Caribbean, which is Lindblad Expeditions Holdings, Inc. which I believe will struggle to provide a return for shareholders in this industry, what other cruise lines do you like?

I covered Royal Caribbean’s stock (RCL) where I believe there’s still opportunity at this price to capture some of the projected upside. They are now moving into river cruising which is an interesting avenue of potential growth for them.

This is the real pandemic.

Video games, sports betting, crypto, options trading, meme stocks, online pornography, recreational cannabis and other bullshit distractions.

Stagnant wages, toxic influencers, lack of role models, societally accepted misandry, student loans, devalued physical labor.

For 2025, I plan to read at least 20 nonfiction books, mostly focused on investing and the stock market. Last year I read 34 books, and the year before 39. A few recommendations are: a random walk down Wall Street, 100 to 1 in the stock market, just keep buying.

In the 9th inning of 2024, what stocks do you think will be winners in 2025? In 2024, A.I. remained a driver of returns for investors while small misses in quarterly earnings caused huge sell offs in some companies like Target and Adobe. 2024 was an interesting market, looking forward to 2025.

It's Forecast SZN on Wall Street and every firm has their S&P 500 target for 2025. Strategists are expecting a gain of somewhere between 7% and 17%. But allow me to blow your mind: The average gain for stocks in an up year over the last hundred years is actually +21%! @bencarlson007.bsky.social

Five charts you need to see for 2025 ⬇️⬇️⬇️

1️⃣ The S&P 500 has gained 20%+ for two straight years

Three 20%+ years hasn't happened outside of the 1990

But are stocks doomed? Not necessarily.

Big gains happen more often than you think.

The S&P 500 has generated 15% annual returns (including dividends) over the last fifteen years.

And all the “New Normal” people from 2009 who warned of increased volatility and “a lower return environment” are still on TV peddling their latest worthless forecasts.

They do wear exquisite suits.

Jobs data is still so meh.

Higher permanent layoffs, lower employment, OK pace of hiring (driven by a few sectors), longer unemployment times reported

Lukewarm at best.

But hey, rate cuts!
