In 1864, the Morning Herald from St. Joseph, MO endorsed Abraham Lincoln’s re-election. Directly underneath Lincoln’s name is the announcement that John Wilkes Booth will perform. There’s an eerie foreshadowing of these two names being so close together over a year before the assassination.
