Professional Genealogist trying to find meaning in the chaos of it all.
In 1965, the average CEO-to-Median-Worker-Compensation ratio was 20:1. Here's a list of popular companies and their current ratios as recent as 2024.

I don't understand why there are no surtaxes for high ratios or tax incentives for low ratios to encourage economic and class equality.

I spent years battling state restrictions to health records and King County's Supreme Court portal before getting my motion approved to unseal legal documents from 1905. All the time and money was worth it to uncover more details of this story ❤️

Perks of doing genealogy young (and staying home sick over a holiday-weekend): found my great-grandma briefly married a man who shot his first wife. Called my grandma to ask if she knew—she said, “he was nice.” She had no idea what he’d done. 😳

I call that a successful Labor Day Weekend.

What Radicalized Me?

The most painful thing about growing up in the U.S. is realizing that the people who raised you wouldn't have helped Anne Frank.

We are witnessing Democratic Backsliding, McCarthyism, Executive Overreach, Public Fear, Mass Division, the failings of Checks and Balances, Federalism, and the rise of a proto-fascist, Illebral democracy - Trump's regime which is compiled only of individuals who are loyal, not qualified.

Point your fingers at bureaucracy, not at children. Their parents did what parents do: Strived to get them a better future.

Calling that "illegal" while excusing the lack of immigration reform from our federally elected officials is the real crime.

As people are being disappeared from the streets of the U.S., I figured this history would be relevant to share. The Intelligentsia and Bourgeoisie of Nikolaevsk were "purged."

The Nikolaevsk Incident - something I've studied for years (on and off again).

God sent Himself—in the form of His Son?—to die a horrific death in order to save us from the punishment that He Himself designed for us, yet we still somehow fail Him by sinning, despite Him being all-knowing and fully aware we would. 😵‍💫

Amazing read which encapsulates a vast amount of time in such a riveting way. Tamim Ansary whisks you through history of old to modern which lead me to realize how incredibly different the same events (old and new) are looked at from the Middle World and the West.

Highly recommend! 📚 🤓

Protesting is the best way to make a difference. Depending on how this TikTok legislation goes, I may be deleting all my Meta apps. So, it's nice to be here.

Now, I'd like to share about some lesser known facts about the Tea that was dumped into the Boston Harbor.

Something we don't learn....
