Clean energy lawyer. Bad dancer. Wife to Atif. Childless cat lady.
Finally, the rest of the world is catching up to me on the appeal of cat dads. I agreed to meet my now-husband only after he revealed (during our third phone conversation, and plenty of prior charm that didn’t seal the deal) that he had kittens. “You have cat, do you? I’m free on Friday.”

Yes, her inability to understand that abortion bans are, in fact, anti-life for women, is infuriating. But the only helpful response to her and those like her is, “I’m sorry this happened to you. Let’s work together to make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else.”

I could get behind a Chrises 2028 platform: Van Hollen and Murphy, in either order. Both have been consistently brave in word and deed during Trump 2.

“Stride Toward Freedom”, Dr. King’s account of the boycott, is a how-to manual for non-violent resistance. It’s a reminder that change requires persistence and perseverance, and that we won’t win overnight; but that if we keep showing up and keep overcoming, we can prevail. My favorite read of 2025.

We tried to show them after the last surrender. There's no sense in trying to convince them anymore. Primaries are the only path to a fighting opposition party now.

(Part of) what Trump has done for them is infuriate and humiliate people who look down on good old boys, or at least, people good old boys *believe* look down on them. When you feel as if you’re mocked and dismissed, you’ll lionize the person who takes down the people mocking and dismissing you.

Your dad has been an immeasurable source of inspiration and guidance to me these past 10 months. We must create a way where no way exists.

You and me both. I don’t think I’m even joking.

This breaks my heart. Your post puts words to what I feel when I see little Black boys—imagining what they’re up against in this world. And it reminds me why we not only must resist — but why we have to build something better from the rubble.

Ignore the haters. You’re a true patriot and a model of positivity masculinity—acting by your principles and admitting your mistakes.

Keep going! Keep showing all of us the way!

Maddening. Even more so, given that many of these projects would have been built with domestically manufactured modules, racking and inverters; and all would have been built by hard working construction folks.
