Ergo sum Spinozianus (I am a Spinozist).

BA ('87) Philosophy and Religious Studies,
West Chester University, PA.
Just arrived. I never read Fichte in college. Just went from Kant to Hegel. In fact, I had a graduate seminar on Hegel as an undergrad. It meant a lot to me to be invited to that course by Dr. Stanley Riukas. Again, 38 years ago! #philsky #philosophy #Fichte

Fichte's "The Vocation of Man" is divided into three "books". Book one, Doubt, lays the foundation for determinism. It is chilling to me that if anywhere, in any being, connected to me going back millions of years, someone was late for a date, then I'm not here. #philsky #fichte #determinism

Really enjoy this book. Gives a quick survey of the philosophers (Leibniz, Rousseau, Fichte, Hegel, etc) that influenced Kant and who he influenced. ( Monroe Beardsley, editor and translator, Modern Library Classics, 2002). #philsky #germanidealism #Philosophy

My Kantian library. All acquired in the last few months. I have decided to tackle the Critique of Pure Reason (Cambridge ed., Guyer and Wood translation). I haven't done rigorous philosophy in 38 years. Will probably take me a year to get thru it. #philosophy #philsky #kant #kantian

This is from the introduction of Adam Beresford's translation of Aristotle's "The Nicomachean Ethics," Penguin Classics 2020. Profound insight into my emotions about what is happening in the U.S. right now. #philsky #Aristotle #philosophy #moralphilosophy
