Through close field collaboration with other humanitarian actors, our teams were also able to provide phone charging services alongside connectivity access, helping people reconnect despite ongoing energy challenges.

TSF teams supported hundreds of residents who had been unable to communicate since the cyclone. Most are using the connectivity to reach family members, access information, read the news, or exchange on social media.

On Tuesday, Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica as the strongest hurricane to hit the island in modern history.

Strong winds, heavy rain, landslides and floods have caused catastrophic damages, leaving dozens dead in Jamaica and Haiti and destroying infrastructure.
