In his latest podcast, Ezra Klein suggested that Trump made reasonable choices for departments he doesn't really care about (e.g., State) but has chosen obviously unqualified people for Justice, Intelligence, and Defense those whose only selling point is that they will do whatever he wants.

My wife and I have lived in NWA since I took my faculty position at UA in '89, and we love the place. Love Oregon too, but couldn't take living in all the dark clouds/rain of the Willamette Valley.

I hear you. I'm not the fan of the Isbell qua human I once was (he seems awfully full of himself), but I still think *Weathervanes* and the new live album are wonderful.

I don't get it either. I mean, one might think that, on balance, one shouldn't do it unless your child is in immediate mortal danger. But it is beyond me that so many Christians can have zero empathy with parents who put their children's interests above USA immigration laws.
