I agree on wanting better, which is why I oppose the bounty hunter/kidnapper/concentration camp thing. But I'm not a Ron Paul Libertarian so oppose open borders as a way to repress labor. And yes, I know immigrants. I see the difference between now and last year.

When we head for a planned recession to allow the top to buy more of the nation at a discount, immigrants are needed less, especially as kidnapping the working base of the economy along with the tariffs is what will create the recession.

The laws are changing under the current administration as the courts are aiding the rewrite, so I'll grant that point. The 5th Amendment is being overthrown.

Back then we had courts and legal representation and efforts in congress to pass immigration reform, just as in '24. But we also had a surge in immigration with an expanding economy and a generally more lenient system as leadership knew the foundational value to our economy of migrants.

We don't have open borders. Some want them, most don't. The difference then and now is due process. And then we had Dreamers and efforts at immigration reform, now we don't. Then we had procedures for refugees, now we don't. Strained equivalency.

Had plenty of chance, had hearings and appeals, then were deported rather than dumped in a foreign country not there own.
