Trump appoints Louisiana Republican Gov. Jeff Landry special envoy to Greenland, angering Denmark. Landry’s electric blue suit alone is an affront to the Danish populace.

“Sleepy Don” Trump Nods Off

The 79-yr old was up til midnight posting, then napped during a Cabinet meeting. He reassured the public:

“I’ll let you know when there’s something wrong. But right now I think I’m sharper than I was 25 years ago. But who the hell knows?”

The Nobel Committee in Oslo gave Pres. Donald Trump full, fair, and expedited consideration for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize that his nomination deserved. See their analysis below.

Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-North Dak.) told CNN that he is “exasperated” by the Canada-US trade talks falling apart:

“It’s Canada. It’s like, it’s like a large Minnesota, you know, I just, what I worry about is our integrated supply chain — it’s just – it’s so important.”

Like a “large Minnesota”?

East Ballroom Project:

“The president has been incredibly transparent,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Other lies since July—

The East Wing was demolished, not “modernized.”
Cost will be $300 million, not $250 million
It will hold 999 guests, not 650

Trump’s new ballroom, a salute to his Mar-a-Lago aesthetic, overwhelms the scale of the original White House. See model below. Incidentally, today he indicated the cost would go from $250 million to $300 million, a 20% increase since July. Drawing on his extensive experience with bankruptcy?

Originally, Trump said his 90,000 square-foot ballroom would be “not touching” the existing East Wing and would pay “total respect” to the historic building. Now he says the East Wing will be totally demolished. So basically, his policy for buildings is as truthful as his policy toward women.

In a photo op for Hegseth and Vance, Marines at Camp Pendleton in California live fired 155 mm projectiles over I-5, one of the busiest freeways in California. Gov. Newsom had the good sense to close that segment of the road to traffic, as one projectile misfired, raining shrapnel on the highway.

What’s with certain authoritarian leaders and gilded eagles? Seems to be a pattern. The eagle on the lectern seems skeptical as Trump explains the need for a massive ballroom. The White House Is the people’s house, not a blank canvas for the cheesy plans of a developer from Queens.

In July Trump said his gilded ballroom “won’t interfere with the current building. It won’t be. It’ll be near it but not touching it — and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of. It’s my favorite. It’s my favorite place. I love it.” East Wing demo began Monday.

The praise of the dear leader was painfully on display yesterday, as Cabinet members vied for most sycophantic. Labor Sec. Lori Chavez-DeRemer took home the prize for putting Trump’s “big, beautiful face” on a banner in front of the Department of Labor. Kim of North Korea is envious.

Trump’s economic chaos, uncertainty, and tariff impacts have finally caught up with the US job market, with very weak recent numbers. Trumps response was to say he was going to fire the commissioner of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. I’m surprised the economy didn’t start tanking sooner.

On the day Deputy AG Todd Blanche interviewed Epstein sex trafficker imprisoned Ghislane Maxwell, Trump dangled a pardon for her: “It’s something I haven’t thought about,” while notably adding, “I’m allowed to do it.” A woman who groomed young girls to pedophiles is a great pardon candidate.

Trump Polls
Things went south for Donald Trump in March when disapproval of his performance as president overtook those approving. It has only kept widening from that point. When you pursue erratic policies and deliver incoherent speeches on a daily basis, it’s going to take its toll.

94% of survey respondents said NO to Colo. Gov. Polis’ bridge to nowhere. Today he posted: “l will commit my time and effort to prevent this walkway from being built, even if I have to chain myself to the Capitol Plaza to stop it!” As though someone besides himself proposed the idea. Truly bizarre.

Chaff (below) is what Trump is frantically deploying to try to evade the rockets coming at him from his 15 year dalliance in Jeffrey Epstein‘s orbit. It’s the familiar Trump playbook of deflection, distraction, and obfuscation. Even MAGA hardliners are beginning to see that Trump lacks a moral core.

Recall "Brangelina"—a portmanteau referring to the celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Let’s coin a new term: Trumpstein or Eprump.

Sometimes Democrats get deranged, egotistical ideas as well as Trump. Example: Colorado Gov. Jared Polis is proposing an elevated $28M+ elevated walkway to nowhere in the Denver Civic Center National Historic Landmark historic district. Intrusive, unneeded, ineffectual. Waterslide/luge run.

The Guardian—“Ted Cruz has had quite a week. On Tuesday, the Texas senator ensured the Republican spending bill slashed funding for weather forecasting, only to then go on vacation to Greece while his state was hit by deadly flooding, a disaster critics say was worsened by cuts to forecasting.”

Put a picture of Congress on a milk carton, as it’s been missing as a co-equal branch of gov’t since Jan. 20th. Brendan Buck commented on members: “Too many see their jobs as playing characters in the Trump melodrama rather than serving as policymakers in a separate and equal legislative branch.”

Elections matter. The Senate approved Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill (a nod to Orwell?) 51-50 with VP Vance breaking the tie. The House voted 218-214 to pass it. Those handful of votes casts the U.S. on a perilous course with an already reckless President at the helm.
