Many years ago, I was on a date at a nice restaurant in San Francisco. In the men's room, a guy wearing a T-shirt, shorts and reverse ball cap looked at me and asked, "Dude, why are you wearing a suit?!?" I said, "I'm having dinner with a beautiful woman. Why are *you* dressed like a 12-year old?"

CEOs across corporate America need to summon the courage to do this, rather than cowering in complicity as the system that enabled their prosperity is replaced by the crony capitalism typical of authoritarian mafia states most refuse to do business with. Instead, they stand mute or actively abet.
